Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Relationship Diagram Generator (https://soukanzu.jp, "the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by all of these Terms. The Terms apply to the web version, any future app versions, and all related features (AI diagram generation, gallery, blog).

1. Service Overview

The Service is a web tool for visually creating, editing, and saving relationship diagrams between people, characters, organizations, etc. Core functionality is available without registration. The premium monthly plan (¥500, no auto-renewal) unlocks watermark-free saves, AI image generation, and higher AI diagram usage limits.

2. Plans

2-1. Free Plan

• Add, edit, and delete people
• Create relationship lines and labels
• Use built-in templates
• Save images at standard quality (with watermark)
• Social sharing
• AI diagram generation (with daily quota)
• Browse the gallery

2-2. Premium Monthly Plan (¥500, no auto-renewal)

• Watermark-free high-resolution image saving
• AI image generation (up to 5 per day)
• AI diagram generation (up to 10 per day)
• Additional features added over time

The premium plan does not auto-renew. To continue premium access after one month, you must purchase again. This is intentional — it removes the "I forgot I was being charged" failure mode and keeps control with you.

3. Payment & Refunds

Premium plan payments are processed via Stripe Checkout. Card information is never stored by the Service. Due to the digital nature of the product, refunds are generally not available. Exceptions may be considered for cases such as a Service-side outage lasting longer than 48 hours that prevented all use.

4. Copyright & IP

4-1. Diagrams you create

Copyright in the diagrams (names, relationships, layout, etc.) you create using the Service belongs to you. By choosing to publish to the gallery, however, you grant the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and generate thumbnails of that content within the Service.

4-2. Images you upload

If you upload images (e.g. character portraits) from external sources, you warrant that you hold the rights to do so (copyright, likeness, publicity rights, etc.). Uploading photos of actors, celebrities, third-party-shot images, or copyrighted material without permission carries legal risk. The Service is not responsible for the rights status of uploaded images.

4-3. Service content

The source code, UI, logo, documentation, blog posts, and other Service materials are the property of the operator TOMI or their respective rights holders. Reproduction, redistribution, or modification without permission is prohibited. Quoting blog content for review or commentary is permitted under fair-use-style rules (clear attribution, supporting role).

5. Commercial Use

Diagrams created with the Service may be used freely for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. Examples:

• Illustrations in books, magazines, blog articles
• YouTube video explanations and thumbnails
• Corporate presentations and internal training materials
• Paid newsletter or paid fan-zine content
• Plot reference material for commercial novels

Attribution (e.g. "Created with Relationship Diagram Generator (soukanzu.jp)") is appreciated but not required. Redistributing screenshots of the tool itself, or reselling the tool as a "diagram service," is not permitted.

6. Gallery Posting Rules

6-1. Acceptable content

• Original creative-work character relationship diagrams (novels, manga, TRPG, etc.)
• Fan diagrams of public works (drama, film, novels)
• Historical figure relationship diagrams
• Fictional organization charts

6-2. Prohibited content

• Defamation or harassment of real individuals
• Sexual depiction or implication involving minors
• Discriminatory or hate-speech content
• Content infringing third-party copyrights, likeness rights, or privacy
• Excessive violence or gore
• Content promoting illegal activity (drugs, weapons trade, etc.)
• Doxxing or exposing personal information (address, phone, real name)
• Commercial advertising, spam, or unrelated promotion
• Repeated identical posts

6-3. Reporting system

If you find a problematic post, please use the report button on the post page or send a report via contact. Posts receiving 3 or more reports are automatically hidden pending review by the operator.

7. General Prohibited Actions

• Imposing excessive load on Service servers (e.g. automated scripts)
• Probing for or exploiting security vulnerabilities
• Attempts to bypass rate limits or quotas
• Tampering with the premium status flag to gain paid features
• Reverse engineering, modifying, or redistributing the Service
• Using the Service for illegal or anti-public-order activity
• Other actions the operator deems inappropriate

8. Access Restriction & Suspension

The Service may take the following actions without prior notice when a user violates these Terms:

• Removal of gallery posts
• Temporary or permanent IP / identifier-based access restriction
• Cancellation of premium plan (no refund)
• Provision of relevant information to law enforcement

9. Service Changes & Discontinuation

The Service may be modified or discontinued at the operator's discretion, with reasonable notice where possible:

• Adding, changing, or removing features
• Adjusting plans and pricing
• Updating these Terms
• Temporarily suspending or terminating the Service

For users who already hold an active premium plan, the features available at purchase will continue to be honored for the remainder of that plan's validity.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes related to the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court covering the operator's location.

12. Changes to These Terms

The Service may update these Terms as needed. Significant changes will be announced on the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
